Graham Ashton (AUS) - Footstomp /BigSound Footstomp is a Music Services Company specializing in artist, project and event management, and artist mentoring. Footstomp manage Babaganouj (ex-Yves Klein Blue), Glenn Richards (Augie March), The Honey Month, Inland Sea and King Cannons.
Asho was also Executive Programmer for the very successful BIGSOUND 2010, and he is proud to be have been asked back to programme BIGSOUND in 2011 for it’s 10th year anniversary.
2011 has started with Footstomp signing a label deal with Warner Music Australia. Footstomp Records' first signing is Rockhampton’s favourites sons, Busby Marou.
Asho is proud to have worked closely with hundreds of artists including the likes of Robbie Williams, Powderfinger, The Living End, Paul Kelly, The Go-Betweens, Sarah Blasko and Mumford & Sons. He is getting more obsessed about music with age.
Paul Hanly (USA) - Frenchkiss Records USA Paul has worked in the US music industry for close to 9 years now after many exciting internships. Paul's career started with PR at Capitol Records and he now holds the current position as general manager at Frenchkiss Records.
In the last 3-and-a-half years since Paul has been with Frenchkiss, he has had an integral part of helping build the careers of The Dodos, Local Natives, Passion Pit, The Antlers, Cut Off Your Hands and many more.
Dick Huey (USA) - Toolshed Dick Huey founded digital media marketing and consulting powerhouse Toolshed in 2001, and has orchestrated over 350 digital campaigns in his career.
A new media pioneer, Huey launched the New Media department at the Beggars Group in 1997, licensed the Group’s groundbreaking digital catalog, and set the Group’s strategic direction. Toolshed music and media clients include the Beggars Group, Merge Records, Righteous Babe Records and Touch and Go.
Huey licenses independent music catalogs on behalf of Spotify in the United States.
He is a founding new media committee member for the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), and a board member representing Matador Records at Soundexchange.
Natalie Judge (UK) - Matador Records UK Natalie has been the European label Manager for Matador Records, part of the Beggars Group, for four years. She has managed campaigns with artists such as Cat Power and Sonic Youth, as well as her first signing, Brighton’s Esben and the Witch, who appeared in this year’s BBC Sound of 2011 list.
Alongside Matador, Natalie has also been on the board for AIM – the Association of Independent Music – for two years, where she works to promote and support independent music in the UK. Natalie was also featured in the Billboard “30 Under 30” list, published in the summer of 2010, where 30 globally chosen music executives under the age of 30 were noted for their success in the industry.
Will Larnach-Jones (AUS) - Parallel Management Will Larnach-Jones is director of Parallel Management. Based in Sydney, Parallel Management's roster includes The Presets, Zowie, Strange Talk, Beni, Undercolours and Angie Hart. Prior to setting up Parallel Management, Will was based in London as a publicist for acts such as Sigur Ros, Jimi Tenor and Pulp, and then in Melbourne where he assisted on management for The Avalanches, Sally Seltmann and Architecture In Helsinki. Will has also worked as an A&R consultant for Sony Music Australia.
Adam Lewis (USA) - The Planetary Group, Boston Adam Lewis: Co-Owner of Planetary Group. Spearheading an artist development and promotions firm based out of Boston and LA that focuses on helping new and upcoming artists be heard and discovered, over the past year or so Adam has worked with such acts as The Decemberists, Bloc Party, Peter, Bjorn & John, Apples In Stereo, Kings Of Leon, The Jezebels and The Lemonheads.
In addition Adam also currently handles all publicity, promotion and media buying for Great Northeast Productions. Great Northeast is responsible for producing 50 shows a year throughout New England, including Phish's millennium concert in Florida and the annual Snoe.down Festival at Lake Placid.
Prior to Planetary, Adam was the Northeast Sales and Promotion Manager for TVT Records, working with Sevendust, Guided By Voices, The Black Crowes and Snoop Dogg. Adam’s latest projects are spearheading tours to China, India, and Singapore for Independent artists. Adam is always looking for great new bands.
Jen Long (UK) - BBC6 New Music DJ/Programmer Jen Long presents BBC Introducing in Wales on Radio 1. She promotes shows in Cardiff under the name flux=rad, sometimes in conjunction with Swn Festival. She runs cassette label Kissability with the guys at Transgressive and writes for people like NME and TLOBF. She also writes her own mp3 blog Wait For The Click and plays in Cardiff band Effort.
