Our Members
IMNZ was set up at the end of 2001 to provide a voice for New Zealand independent recording labels and distributors.
We started with about 15 member labels and we now have over 70 member labels and distributors whose artists include such diverse acts as the Black Seeds, Savage, Hollie Smith, Shapeshifter, Opshop, Fat Freddy’s Drop, SJD, Miriam Clancy, Minuit, Cobra Khan, Don McGlashan, Flight of the Conchords, Scribe and many more.
Internationally, we are also members of WIN – the Worldwide Independent Music Network. This is made up of 27 member countries, with Board members from international labels such as Tommy Boy, Beggars Group, Cooking Vinyl, and K7.
