SANTA MONICA LOS ANGELES Started off the day at McCabes Guitar shop - an ugly old building with heaven tucked inside - every blues and rock muso has played there on their way up, and the walls are papered with unique mainly accoustic guitars, banjos, sitars, cellos, ukes, double bass and mandolins, not counting the many other stringed instruments which I have no idea what they are!

We have "bonded" with a few of the staff and today I started shooting vids of them doing their thing - playing! I have a new model Taylor GSMini - the latest travellers guitar - so new that I have yet to have the pick up installed.

Then we braved the buses of LA and caught three in a row to get to the Getty museum - Monet, Van Gogh, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne, all the Dutch masters from the 13th century to the 17th - the buildings are works of money plus imagination with immense curves and angles; linear masterpieces set in breathtaking immaculate gardens.
