A discussion on the future of music distribution, particularly in relation to the possibilities of the online environment, will take place at the Adam Art Gallery in Wellington next Wednesday September 1 (6 - 8pm). Speakers include Roger Shepherd of Flying Nun Records, Annabel Youens and Jeff Mitchell from MusicHype, music critic Simon Sweetman and several other Wellington-based independent music agents. The event will workshop ideas and provide practical tools to consider the role of the record label now.
