Set up at the end of 2001, Independent Music New Zealand was established to provide a voice for New Zealand independent recording labels and distributors.

Independent Music New Zealand started with about 15 member labels and we now have over 70 member labels and distributors.

Internationally, Independent Music New Zealand are members of WIN – the Worldwide Independent Music Network.
